Closing Costs
Closing costs in Belize are typically around 10% of the purchase price. This generally includes
attorney fees of 1%–2% and Stamp Duty of approximately 8%, along with smaller administrative
and closing-related expenses.
When calculating Stamp Duty, the first US$10,000 of the purchase price is exempt and not
subject to this tax.
